Project Details
This project describes the existing environmental baseline status of 50MW Solar PV study area at Panchagarh District, Bangladesh, covering both the natural and social environments. Bright Night Energy is developing one of the first grid-connected utility-scale solar PV projects in Bangladesh, and is seeking senior secured debt financing for the project. The project is located in the northernmost part of Bangladesh, close to the Indian border and 350 km northwest of Dhaka Project site is on 265 acres of privately owned land. Unlike other areas in Bangladesh, the site has not experienced massive flooding. Bright Night will build a 12 km transmission line to connect to a 132kV substation operated by Power Grid Company of Bangladesh. ERM, being E&S consultant of the proponent has assigned EQMS to carry out the Environmental Baseline and Monitoring for this Project. The project is owned by Bright Night Energy and the lender is KfW
